Apparently I’ve not been paying much attention. Cai Guo-Qiang’s piece ‘Inopportune Part Two’ is proving to be one of those rare pieces that reminds why I like art still. I’ve always been iffy on installation, and tigers and arrows are pretty common imagery. But there’s something so compelling about these works. The scale? The number of arrows? The expressions he’s managed to put on these, apparently, fake tigers? I dunno, but it’s wonderful. I’ve not even looked at part one yet!
